Is housed at the Brandon University Rural Development Institute, the Community Outreach Service helps initiate and develop partnership projects between the Brandon University and communities and community organizations in the region.

With special funding from Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives, Outreach holds two Calls for Project Proposals a year, and supports on average six new community-based projects annually.

Another Outreach program, Service Learning, encourages student volunteer activities by recognizing their community contributions on the Brandon University transcripts.
